Other characters are included in the story to add humor and embellishment when appropriate.

Very cute Dustin, well done :-) I like the granade-throwing ending, well played.

There’s something wrong with the list of Javascripters:

Wow, what an epic. I’m not sure I’m into my depiction of being the shambolic John Belushi character out of Animal House but, well, I am what I am. Just because I’ve not sworn allegiance to a library eh? :)
You got the curiosity thing spot on though.
Also, I think nuking everything was the coolest way to go. Who needs to live forever?

@John: I was hoping to depict your character as accurate as possible. By now I’m completely over the fact that jQuery - in almost all circumstances, will win all one-liner competitions. It suited you well that you’re able to do everything quick and run through walls. You lead a one of a kind army and I definitely commend you for it :)
@Martin: It is corrected now.
@Dan: I know you’ve played with Prototype perhaps the most, but I figured it was only appropriate after your last post about a low down dirty goblin. Inventing the atomic bomb was also an excellent way to go out :p

Haha! Nice. :-) In real life, my baseball cards from my younger days are tossed in a huge box bent to hell and back. ;-p

Just to clarify for everyone, I came up with this story during a late night of no sleep. I said that I was “buzzed” in the podcast - but I only say that when I can’t remember things.
Justin, glad you liked :)

Hey, I think know Billy; I think he lives on my block… but who gave him neighborhood watch duties?
November 15th, 2006 at 12:51 am
That was great… totally hilarious, and so true.

Hello I’m Billy, I copy and paste ,sometimes I cut, everything that seems to me ‘Foolie-Coolie’
so now I write a perfect Hello World function. How can I compile that?
By the way, there is a Billy hidden somewhere in all of Us.

Hehe, good stuff.

Thanks for this Dustin. That wasn’t just a story - it was a parable, an analogy, and a life lesson. I read the transcript, meticulously, and saw the message. Well done, you got me thinking about which one represents me most.
I particularly liked the interesting reference to exercise and food-intake.
FYI: detinates is spelled detonates. Unless it has some other meaning that which we are not aware.

Cool music intro - the story is also not so bad ;-)

Dustin all of your feedburner links are broken–I had to go to Odeo and grab it.
