I'm goin' ta Jackson... er, I mean Boston

Tonight I'm leaving out to Boston for a week to see the Boston Marathon. I'm going with a few friends of mine and one of them is actually running in it because she is quite fast. I always like to think that one day I'll run a marathon although I was never that kind of distance runner, but rather middle distances such as the half-mile, 1500m and possibly the 3000m (if only they didn't have those damn water barriers to jump over). In 1998 I was ranked 13th in the country for the 800 meter run - and that is my closest claim to fame to the outside world of non geekdomhood.

Other than that, I'll be out for a week, so to my loyals, please keep a close watch over the site. Again, I'm disabling comments since there isn't much for discussion. If you live near Boston and want to hook up for a beer (or coffee) then feel free to drop me an email. There's no guarentees we can meet, but it's worth mentioning it. The wife (I'm sure) has a schedule. Ciao.
