Measure Map is dope
And for those who don’t know what I mean by dope
, I’m talking about the Urban Dictionary’s definition for dope. It’s sick, tight, and phat too.
First off, before I rant and rave about how awesome Measure Map is… I’m sorry to say it’s only in Private Alpha, and you need to be personally invited to get in (hence the private). Much thanks to Jeffrey Veen, I’m honored to check out this bad boy!
So yea… this thing’s tight
It tracks everything I’m looking to know about my blog. It’s dope because it gives me the information about my posts. It’s sick because it drops me some info about my links… incoming and outgoing. It’s tight because it gives me feedback on comments. And it’s phat by telling me where my traffic is coming from. Everything you need to know about your blog, it’s all here and more! What’s specifically great about it is that it’s meant for blogs! Not your e-commerce site… not some portal service… not your sand box, and most definitely not for you cheapies trying to make money on sp@m.

Measure Map also includes various setups for multiple blog platforms which allow developers the flexibility of using almost any of the popular platforms out there including WordPress, Blogger, even the various systems from Six Apart.
If you ask me, they could stop all development on Measure Map right now and I’d be perfectly satisfied the way things are working as is. But of course knowing the folks down at Adaptive Path, they’re probably just getting started.

Yeah, I’m quite pleased with Measure Map so far, and it’s a great tool to use along side Mint.
What I can’t wait for is the RSS feed tracking…

Elliot, check out the help section within the control panel. There’s 4 feeds available to you that bring you different information.

I’m interested to see this one, sounds promising. Looks like it collects more data than Mint, I’m interested to see how much of it relies on your server-side language of choice (hopefully none at all). That’s my only beef with Mint.

Dunstin, you misunderstood Elliot. They’re going to bring feed tracking like Feedburner does.
Measure Map only relies on placing of Javascript calls at certain points.
I’ve been testing it for a few weeks and love it. Really love it.
I know there’ll be a free version and a pay version at the end and i’ll be purchasing the pay version.

Sorry, guess I wasn’t clear. What I meant was apparently there is going to be the ability to gather stats for your RSS feeds (hit the “previewing” link on the top of the control panel page), which should be really nice.
I know a lot of people are using feedburner instead of WordPress’ because you can get stats for them, and as far as I know nobody has been able to figure out how to track feeds with Mint. So if Measure Map can do that, it’ll be a huge plus.

Oh right I got what you guys are saying. Yea the only thing I ever know about my feeds is that bloglines hits it up the most, and it’s the most popular file hit up on this site by far. It would be nice to have some of that information broken up into something meaningful.

Yeah, Measure Map is sweet, I’ve been running Google Analytics since Christmas for comparison but I hardly ever check it now. The pitch of Measure Map is perfect for me.

Waiting for my invitation :-) Can’t wait to play around with it.

Yea, I too have been checking my MeasureMap account right alongside Mint and Google Analytics. A year or so ago I thought Shortstat and Refer were the dopest…sorry, I don’t think I’ll be able to use that word in conversation again. Anyway, stats tracking has come a long way very quickly.

[…] Earlier this year back in January I wrote an entry about how dope Measure Map is. Well, ever since this dandy stats application was sold to those guys over on the other side of the valley, Measure Map is… um, well; to put it kindly, “not so dope anymore.” […]
