Readymade guitar solo missing in iTunes

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

There I was rockin’ out in my office room shouting to the lyrics of “Readymade” by Red Hot Chili Peppers and anyone who’s anyone knows that every song has a “moment,” and that moment was rapidly approaching in this song… and I had one leg propped up on the chair with the other planted onto the ground - air guitar held up high and proud… and then that moment came…

“Ah clean it up Johnny…”

My fingers melded tightly to my ribs as if the solo of my life was about to be played and I was going to be tearing it up like no one’s ever… torn… before.

But to my utter disappointment…

Nothing Happened! The rhythm kept playing - but no lead. I looked like a fool to my millions of fans. I felt like I was figured out when in reality, there was nothing to be figured out… but still. I was robbed of my freedom to rock (feel free to quote me on that).

After getting over the fact, I decided to investigate and sure enough the Apple Finder preview player wasn’t missing a thing. It was all there in it’s glory… but it just didn’t feel the same. The feeling was gone. The moment was over. The crowd went home.

Most importantly, however, does anyone know how to fix this?

“For those about to rock (like Ashley Simpson), we salute you.”

plug your other speaker in ;-) the solo is only on 1 channel.

@BigWebGuy: I’ve confirmed that it has something to do with iTunes because it works fine in the Apple Finder with just the speakers and my headphones, but no luck with iTunes even with both the speakers and headphones.

@Jim: You’ll have to link to where you’re talking about it.

@Dustin–nah, you’ll find it. Though I am not sure you ever noticed the last time I tampered with it–’iffy’.

I had the same problem with a different song at itunes, too. Don’t know which was it anymmore. I rebooted my computer and tried it a second time and then it worked. So I think it is not an itune problem.
